Some notes for the weekend:
1) Start time has been moved to 1130 for the event on Saturday to give our hash cash time to sign people in and get them their swag, drink tickets, and bracelet.
2) At Saturday’s trail, you will be given drink tickets that will cover standard PBR/Rainer pints of beer for circle. However, this bar has an AMAZING selection of beers that you can also choose from, just be warned, you will pay full price for them. Additionally, after the trail, there will be a slider-bar where you will be able to purchase pulled-pork sliders for 5$. The meat here is amazing (yea, I know how that sounds) and it’s worth every penny, but you will need to pay for your own food.
3) Saturday Night!
This is where it gets delicate. Due to this pesky little bug called Covid making a mess of things for… everyone?... the bar will not be operating as a bar that night. (Covid delayed business licensing)
What does this mean? We have essentially rented out a space to drink and listen to our friends play music in. The future site of the Alley Cat Cafe and Lounge (formally the Hi-Fi for all you locals) is ours for the night.
There will be free beer for all the hashers (while supplies last), NO muggles, and a limited selection of appetizers that the Alley Cat will have on their menu when they finally get the go to open. Staff members from the bar will be there to pour beers and get to know the hashers because they want the bar to be known as a hasher-friendly bar.
While this arrangement means they will not be able to sell you a drink, what it does mean is that we can bring our own bottles of liquor in. If a bottle is drained that night at the bar, you can sign it and donate it to their backdrop and it will become a part of the bar’s decor when it opens. I’m assuming this will end up being a wall of Malort, but I'll be bringing at least one bottle of vodka.
You may have noticed that rego for this weekend is incredibly reasonable at 30$. MM decided on this price so that if the pandemic affected your income, it would still be affordable for you to cum. What this rego does not cover is tipping at the two bars on Saturday. While everyone has their own budgets, I’m asking you to please bring cash to tip at both establishments. 2020 was incredibly hard for the restaurant and bar industry as well as those who work in it. I would like the kennel and our visitors to show our bartenders on Saturday just how truly appreciative we are.
Thank you and On-On,
